How often have you gotten a great night’s sleep on a bus?  How about on a plane?

You don’t need to suffer through a sore neck (and possibly drool on your neighbor’s shoulder) during your next overnight trip.  With the right inflatable travel pillow, you can finally balance a comfortable trip and a lightweight carry-on.

If you’re looking for a top-quality foam travel pillow, check out this post about another great travel pillow from from Cabeau.

The Lewis N. Clark Adjustable On Air Neck Pillow, Travelrest Inflatable Pillow, and the Cabeau “Air Evolution” Inflatable Neck Pillow are all popular picks for the best inflatable travel pillow.  Let’s take a closer look at all three to find the best fit for you.

If you’re looking for a pillow that matches the usual look, the Lewis N. Clark Adjustable On Air Neck Pillow ($13.95 at Amazon) fits the bill.  It’s easy to inflate and, thanks to a special valve on the side, it’s easily adjustable after you’ve inflated it.  The soft velour case that comes with this inflatable travel pillow is also hand washable.

The Travelrest Inflatable Travel Pillow ($59.95 at Amazon) has earned great reviews from a huge number of travelers.  One nice design benefit is that you can use this pillow to set up a divider between you and any stranger sitting next to you.  It’s also versatile and easy to wash.  If you feel like dishing out a little more money for extra comfort points, you can pair this inflatable travel pillow with Travelrest’s top-rated velour pillowcase.  Also worth noting is the “Different Ways to Use Your Travelrest” diagram, which manages to be practical, well-intentioned, and pretty hilarious.

The Cabeau “Air Evolution” Inflatable Neck Pillow ($26.99 on Amazon) manages to keep a low profile despite its unconventional look. This inflatable travel pillow doesn’t pack down quite as much as the Travelrest and Lewis N. Clark pillows, but it makes up for that with adjustable support and memory foam comfort.  Some reviewers did mention that it’s a bit on the small side, though.
